Attention all property owners:
The Assessor's office is still in the field updating, measuring and photographing all parcels in Billings Township. This
updating of property data is required by the state laws in order to keep township records accurate. Please be kind to
these representatives and allow them to gather the required data.
The inspectors will be required to estimate any data on parcels they cannot access.
Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. Debra Borrow, Assessor.

Cell Tower:
Billings Township is finally receiving a cell tower. The contract has already been signed and construction will begin Spring of 2012 at the park site on Weiman Road, at last giving our township the much needed cell phone service.
Web Site
:
The web site has been purchased and should be up and running in January 2012. This will give everybody much needed information

Billings Township Community Park
:
Much work has been done on the park this year. The boat ramp is open; there will be parking available at the park site for ice fishermen, the snow will be plowed for their convenience. 2012 will bring many more changes to the park. Many thanks from the township to the many volunteers that helped in making all these updates possible
.
FEMA:
We have received verbal approval on our requested extension; however, we are waiting for the written extension

4th of July Parade:
The Parade will be on Wednesday, July 4, 2012. They are looking for someone to chair the parade as well as volunteers to help with the parade. If you are interested, please call Rose Malott, 435-8100.

Waste Management:
Their regular pickup is every Tuesday. Large items are allowed on the last Friday of the month, call Waste Management so they can put you on the pick up list. Please have trash and recycling out by 6:00 A.M. In May and September there will be a dumpster for yard waste and in July there will be a dumpster for tire collection. Exact dates and location will be posted this Spring at the township hall.
Recycling Pickup:
Their regular pickup for recycling is the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month. For recycling bins, call the township hall, please use these bins just for the intended purpose because they do cost, thank you. Please have trash and recycling out by 6:00 A.M.

Fire Chief, Al Vincent:
Our volunteer Fire Department is a vital part of our township and we want to thank them for their hard work and efforts in keeping us protected. The Fire Department is always looking for volunteers.

Sewer Project:
Sewer citations are being sent out to those in the sewer district who have not conformed to the sewer ordinance on hooking up to the system. The township is still checking for clean-outs at the road, as they are necessary. If your contractor has removed that clean-out, you will have to have them reinstall them, this will be at home owners expense.

ORV's:
There has been some complaints of flagrant abuse of the rules, which may end up in closing of some roads. We hope this does not happen. Please continue to be safe on your ORV.

Voting:
Election inspectors are needed for the elections. If interested, please call clerk Dan Zunich, 435-3832.

Drop box:
There now is a drop box, located outside near the entrance for tax payments, sewer payments, complaints, etc., to be used when the hall is closed.

Please check ordinances before building in the township, as we are a zoned community.
